Covers the southern Abyssinia border from Dolo in south-eastern Abyssinia 220 miles westwards to Gara Jima in southern central Abyssinia and Gara Ogorchi in northern East Africa Protectorate to a width of approximately 10 miles. The eastern two sheets are signed by Corporal C. Carter R.E.Note: The hill 'Gara Ogorchi' is depicted but unnamed on the map; it is shown as 'G[ara]. Ogorchu' on the adjacent sheet filed at ABY/27/2/2. Prismatic compass traverse. Sheets numbered VI, VII and VIII. Portrays hydrology, relief by form lines and spot heights, roads and tracks, settlements, place names and the expedition route, and includes topographical and ethnographical notes. Sheet VII bears a note relating the survey to an earlier triangulation by Captain P. Maud R.E.
